Our super cozy lava lodge is perfect for adventure seeking small groups. At the lodge you can enjoy the northern lights free from light pollution. From our patio you can view the three glaciers: "Eiríksjökull", "Langjökull" and "Ok"
The traditional building style of 18th century Icelandic farmhouses with high ascending roofs inspires the cabin's architectural style, with wooden interiors creating a cozy mood in the small private rooms. We have an outdoor hot tub you can enjoy under the northern lights, beautiful hiking trails and a magnificent lava field all around covered with thick moss and beautiful Icelandic birch shrubs.
There's a fire pit outside the lodge surrounded by comfy chairs for when you just need to sit and smile :) Two other outside seating areas are available, one next to the hot tub and another on the patio facing north, perfect for the evening sun in the summer and northern lights in the winter.
Inside the lodge we have a long dinner table where Icelandic gourmet dinners are served. We are dedicated to offer fresh, local produce of the highest quality, served in a traditional Icelandic home-cooking style. In line with tradition you can participate in the cooking if you want. All dietary needs can be met if asked in advance.
There's an old school vinyl record player in the cozy room and over 600 records to choose from. A festive dinner party in Iceland often includes some guitar-playing and sing-alongs, so if you are up for it we have a guitar at hand and know a few songs.
